ULTRASONIC TESTING
(UTFD / UTTM)
A-scan, B-Scan, C-Scan to check on remaining thickness, welding integrity and the condition of the equipment under inspection.
MAGNETIC PARTICLE INSPECTION (MPI)
Surface and subsurface flaw detection (cracks) such as in weldments.
DYE PENETRANT INSPECTION (DPI)
Flaw detection in weldments, joints, tubings for non-ferrous material.
HARDNESS TESTING
(UCI)
Material capabilities inspection especially for material / equipment that has endured heat-cycled.
EDDY CURRENT TESTING (ECT)/ ALTERNATING CURRENT FIELD MEASUREMENT(ACFM)
Advance method replacing conventional surface methods. Eliminates need for hazardous chemicals and expedites inspection process.
VIDEOSCOPE / BORESCOPE
An optical tool used to view areas that would otherwise not be visible. A videoscope is inserted into the item being evaluated without destroying the item of interest. Components. A videoscope can consist of. Rigid or flexible working length.
VACUUM BOX
A non-destructive examination used when trying to locate weld seam leaks. A vacuum box and a compressor create a high or low pressure vacuum while a detergent solution is applied to the test area. The detergent bubbles, making leaks visible within the created pressure envelope.
INFRARED THERMOGRAPHY
The science of acquisition and analysis of thermal information from non-contact thermal imaging devices. IR thermography detects emitted radiation in the infrared range of the electromagnetic spectrum. This corresponds to wavelengths longer than the visible light portion of the spectrum.
